What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the team assessing labor engagements. These engagements include Global Operations for complex advanced labor assessments that may extend to Service Assurance, Service, Engineering, and Project Management practices. You’ll lead a team of both full-time employees and contractors located within the globally. The key strategic priority is leading your team to deliver value to Verizon with profitable labor assessments to meet customer stated outcomes. Further priorities include strategic initiatives, such as internal projects and partner engagements.

  • Interact with stakeholders and the OPD-EA team leads on custom solutions.
  • Engage with the tools and teams associated with Current Platform, manual quoting activities, Sales and back office entities (IT Org, PCM, Product Management, etc.)
  • Work in collaboration with peer organizations on labor assessments representing stakeholder organizations.
  • Serve as the overall technical leader and incorporate OPDs’ presales assessment and professional services presales best practices to ensure labor assessments (technical and non-technical) are completed in a timely and cost efficient manner to win more business.
  • Handle executive escalations and become the executive point person representative to drive resolution.
  • Provide extensive matrix management oversight across the entire organization and ensure Sales Force (SFDC) opportunities are correctly identified, moved to the correct scoping resource and closed effectively.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of custom operations, delivery solutions, and professional services in the current platform, manual quoting, and complex solutions across our solution stacks.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Operations Planning and Design presales assessment and PS practice team members responsible for US sold solutions from the most custom to less complex for triage and governance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance management based on SLAs.
  • Represent the Operations, Planning and Design presales assessment and PS global labor organization to Global Sales and Business Operations.
  • Recruit, retain and develop staff members.
  • Establish best practices incorporating automation along with processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Train other team members as needed in best practices.
  • Present metrics and reporting to senior management and other areas of the business.
  • Ensure global continuity adherence to OPD business rules to ensure compliance to global business practices and rules.
  • Establish repeatable solutions and/or processes.
  • Perform ad hoc assignments as requested by manager and/or executive leadership.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience of customer facing program management experience with Federal customers.
  • Experience of outsourcing solution development and delivery experience.
  • Experience of direct service management architecture design, service delivery or operations experience.
  • Experience of costing/pricing and business case development experience/direct customer contract negotiations.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Two or more industry certifications at the professional or expert levels.
  • Experience of global outsourcing solution development and delivery experience.
  • Working knowledge of WAN, LAN, Security, voice, IT, wireless and IP technologies.
  • Knowledge of SFDC.
  • Knowledge of multiple Verizon and industry solution technologies.
