As a Research Scientist at VLT you will be part of the research team in Linköping, Sweden. This team is responsible for developing the existing indoor positioning systems (IPS) and explore new positioning technologies. You will work closely with other researchers, developers in multiple teams as well as product managers. You will not only invent new features but also prove that they work in reality.

  • Research and develop new positioning system methods.
  • Design, implement and maintain positioning algorithms.
  • Planning, implement and analyze proof-of-concept.
  • Work with algorithm developers for efficient implementation of algorithms.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology and research trends.

The work location for this role is in Linköping, Sweden, and you will be working in a hybrid team that implies both work from home and in the office.

What we’re looking for...

You have extensive work experience with sensor fusion/signal processing research. You understand the importance of working together in a team and you thrive in it. As a senior member of the team, you are expected to guide and take a technical lead. You will be working in a diverse team and are expected to share your knowledge with and educate your peers.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Strong experience in Signal processing, Sensor Fusion and related technologies.
  • Strong experience in software development.
  • Experience of positioning methods.

Even better if you have:

  • PhD in Sensor Fusion or related field.
  • Experience of LTE and 5G.
  • Experience in Machine learning.
  • Knowledge in Kotlin, Java and Matlab.
