What you’ll be doing...

The Principal Data Center Network Engineer takes on technical integration components of a project or a complex component of a project, utilizes specialized knowledge to complete non-routine tasks, and/or troubleshoots problems and recommends appropriate action. Incumbent handles most problems and issues independently and determines course of action for ambiguous issues. Normally receives minimal instructions on non-routine work assignments and only general instructions on new or more complex assignments. Decisions are made independently. Contact is typically coordinative in nature and involves exchanging detailed technical information. May deal with both internal and external contacts. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, of job-related functional area of telecommunications technology and the business. You will architect, build and deploy complex, integrated solutions.

• Utilize Software Defined Networks.
• Utilize Next Generation Firewalls.
• Utilize Data Center Interconnects.
• Utilize Multi Availability Zone / Multi Region Networks.
• Utilize Global Data Center Planning and Design.
• Utilize Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Connectivity.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Data Center Networking experience.
• Six or more years of experience with Cisco Nexus hardware and configuration.
• Four or more years of experience with Nexus in ACI mode and NXOS mode two or more years of experience implementing VMWare NSX.
• Data Center Routing experience.
• Six or more years of experience with routing.
• Four or more years of experience building spine/leaf data centers.
• Load Balancer Experience (F5, AVI, etc.)
• Next Generation Firewall Experience (Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have:

• Experience with Arista hardware and software.
• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex routing consisting of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Five or more years Public Cloud Provider Experience, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Experience with Automation.
• Experience in a Customer Facing Leadership Role.
• Experience Scoping Large 1M+ dollar Projects.
