What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for design and development of medium to highly complex systems in NSA architecture. We are looking for a Java microservices developer to join our team and support the NSA architecture implementation and OMNI program rollout. Works closely with other IT and business partners to deliver NSA, MARVEL and OMNI deliverables. Manages computer systems in a business environment and is responsible for resolving technical issues. Knowledgeable in programming, data structures, computer systems, and software engineering. Ensures system reliability and scalability. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or other related field. Ability to manage multiple assignments. Superior written and oral communication skills.

• Deliver integrated roadmap on the maintenance and development of NSA platform.
• Collaborate with GTS and business stakeholders to implement business requirements.
• Work closely with business owners and other subject matter experts on requirements gathering and design.
• Implement Agile practices on all project/development work.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability and conformance to best security practices.
• Work on the development and delivery of high quality tested code working closely with a team of other developers across multiple locations and time zones
• Drive the consolidation of tools and automation of performance results and data.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure code quality and work on timely delivery of fixes for any defects.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years or work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Java 8 reactive programming, Microservices AWS - Docker, Kubernetes containerization, Spring boot framework for systems Integration -Tomcat or Netty.
• Experience in DevOps Tool -GIT, Jenkins. JIRA, Ansible, Test Driven development - JUnit, Selenium, SoapSonar.

Even better if you have:

• Strong analytical, deductive reasoning skills and problem solving skills.
• Hands on experience with Java ver8+ reactive programming.
• Knowledge of Verizon Wireless products and services.
• Knowledge of Google Suite, Agile PM and development practices.
