In this hybrid role, you'll work from home with occasional in-person training and meetings. We are hiring in the following locations: Denver CO, Dallas TX, Irvine, CA, Alpharetta GA, Basking Ridge NJ and New York City.

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated candidate for the role of Sr. Device Technology Analyst. The Sr. Device Technology Principal is a key member of the Device Strategy team, with laser focus on all initiatives related to device technology and technical integration of our handsets to our network. We are looking for a strong candidate that understands the full planning cycle of mobile devices.

• Work in tandem with internal organizations (Visible Engineering, Visible Product Management, Device Planning, Device Technology) to facilitate device technological changes (network changes, network upgrades, device firmware changes, etc..)
• Flight and plan changes in conjunction with Product, Engineering, and Marketing stakeholders. Ensuring a timely launch with minimal impact to other Visible engineering initiatives.
• Own planning and cataloguing of current and past initiatives in project management platforms, to be used by key stakeholders across Marketing, Product/Strategy, and Engineering teams.
• Act with accountability and haste to resolve any issues that could impact the customer experience.
• Track, manage, and troubleshoot software releases and updates sent to Visible devices by acting as the facilitator between Visible/VZ and the OEM in coordination with Device Technology Lead.
• Facilitate the Visible test SIM submission process for internal and external stakeholders in coordination with Engineering, Device Compliance, and Device Technology teams.
• Act as post launch SME by identifying and tracking post launch device issues along with interfacing with the Network team
• Manage and support the Visible portfolio device testing process including SKU management

What we’re looking for...

Flexibility - Oftentimes our technical stakeholders are located all over the globe, our initiatives should take place at times that would minimally impact the customer experience. Although it is unusual, there will be times where we work into the evening and possibly overnight. We always do what it takes to ensure our customers are taken care of. Technical Platform Familiarity - Experience and basic understanding of device software planning cycles and technical requirements. Building Trusting Working Relationships - Using an appropriate interpersonal style to establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; interacting in a way that promotes openness and trust and gives them confidence in your intentions.
You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience in Telecommunications or Handset OEM. Other consumer hardware or software experience considered.
• Experience managing, planning, and adopting OEM device requirements.

Even better if you have:

• Five or more years of working knowledge in mobile device development.
• Excellent project planning skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
• Hardware planning experience with major OEM handset brands.
• Strong Technical Aptitude with the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
• Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and business goals.
• Three or more years of experience in project management, specifically flighting software changes.
• Proficient ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness, efficiency and ease.
