What you’ll be doing...

TheNetwork Repair Vendor Manager will manage vendors responsible for the testing, repair/refurbishment, and warehousing of Verizon network products, as well as driving results, strategic direction, and Repair Operations for Verizon’s RDCs.

You will implement the reverse supply chain repair operation decisions and maintain the requirements of a highly dynamic planning forecast to meet the supply needs of the business to maximize cost avoidance savings through the reuse of product. The position will be responsible for defining and executing to a set of supply chain operational metrics geared towards forecast attainment, turnaround time, cost reduction, bounce and out of box failure rates.

You will help drive supply chain-optimization related projects involving cross functional teams within the reverse logistics organization. You will also have significant leadership experience, demonstrated successes driving cross-functional process improvement, enabling tangible benefit to the business. You will be the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading the day to day operations, and will be an integral part of the reverse logistics team managing network equipment.

  • Provide management of 3PL testing, repair and refurbishment partner, ensuring both production and quality standards are maintained for network equipment returns.
  • Manage integration of cross functional, detailed repair project plans and timelines with theability to prioritize projects, establish realistic timelines/milestones and achieve results.
  • Support cross functional teams on process development and continuous improvement
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues that may impact critical process deliverables with sense of urgency
  • Project management of cross-product org initiatives and action registers for laser focused objectives
  • Support the end to end repair process for in-warranty and out of warranty product
  • Support advanced exchange of product when and where applicable
  • Drive operations excellence through themonitoring, analysis and reporting on Key Performance Indicatorsmanagement
  • Seek industry and area best practices – determine value and drive change management where appropriate to gain efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with all impacted Supply Chain teams
  • Work to reduce and drive out No Trouble Found “NTF” units from the reverse Supply Chain
  • Perform root cause analysis with OEM for top return drivers and top failure modes
  • Identify further opportunities for new growth within Clean & Screen Operations and technologie

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience in warehouse operations.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, IE or a MBA in a related field.
  • BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or other related fields
  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Project Management experience, including experience with cross-functional and/or cross-Area projects
  • Superior quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
  • Ability to effectively negotiate solutions and deadlines with others at all levels of the business
  • Ability to effectively consult and communicate with internal teams
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and have a strong customer focus
  • Ability to lead in a fast paced, changing environment and provide rapid turnaround on deliverables
