What you’ll be doing...

You will be an agent for change driving the modernization of business-critical infrastructures. As a Directory Services engineer within our corporate information security department, you will be working with our Active Directory security engineering team to support and modernize our global directory architecture. This specific position will have an emphasis on Azure and other cloud providers to deploy and support AD securely in a hybrid, multi-cloud model while maintaining all security policies and meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Design and support our on premise Active Directory and AD LDS infrastructures.
• Engineer, support, and secure all Tier Zero / Control Plane infrastructure - Domain Controllers, Certificate Services, Lightweight Directory Services, Hypervisors, etc.
• Partner with Verizon’s cloud security organization on best practices for deployment and securing of AD in multiple cloud environments – AWS, GCP, Oracle, Azure.
• Work with other technology teams to retire legacy environments.
• Troubleshoot Active Directory authentication and LDAP configuration issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have...

• Bachelors degree or four or more years work experience
• Four or more years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Active Directory system administration in a mid to large organization environment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience in a Computer Science or IT related field.
• 1 or more years of experience with Azure and Azure Active Directory.
• Strong design and support experience in Identity Management, Access Management, and Active Directory technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server including Hyper-V Management.
• Advanced scripting skills within PowerShell or similar scripting language.
• Experience supporting complex Active Directory Group Policies applied to multi-layered OUs in an Enterprise environment.
• Experience troubleshooting at the network level via Wireshark/Netsh/TCPDump.
• Splunk and SQL experience are a plus.
• Experience with Active Directory Certificate Services is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to effectively work in a team environment among resources with a varying degree of technical competencies.
• Strong organizations and time management skills working in a rapid software development environment.
• Ability to identify and learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft certification preferred.
