What you’ll be doing...

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering a variety of network transformation focused projects. Projects range from mult-site network infrastructure greenfield or refresh projects, Site Survey, LAN/WAN implementation, demarcation extension, and installation to handoff to managed network services. These projects can involve many different industries that could include Retail, Large Venues, and Banking. Your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including project governance, financial tracking and analysis, partner and internal stakeholder management, customer relationships development, and internal process/methodology improvement.

To deliver a project successfully you will coordinate with a broad group of stakeholders including Verizon Network Engineers/Consultants, Third Party Vendors, Customer Contacts and supporting staff. This individual must work collaboratively in a dynamic, face-paced environment and be able to proactively seek creative solutions to complex problems. This includes proactively leading the project team to identify and solution for issues to maintain a smooth project flow.

  • Working with the TPV and Customer for scheduling and maintaining an accurate schedule for the work stream.
  • Managing the TPV, including process, scheduling, quality assurance, billing, collecting, analyzing, and storing key project artifacts, maintaining accurate project financials to track revenue, expense, billing, and time utilization.
  • Providing regular, clear, status updates including program progress toward achieving project objectives.
  • Managing collaboration tools to create and deliver written and verbal executive level program updates (i.e., BlueJeans ,WebEx, video conferencing, email, PowerPoint, GDrive).

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience leading and participating in discussions and presenting material to manager and executive levels; including both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Experience using business systems (i.e.,Clarity, NSAP) and tools (i.e.,Smartsheet & MS Project) in a technical environment.
  • Experience with core networking industry including structured cabling, telecom room layout, networking terminology, equipment functions, including fluency in the first three layers of the OSI model, with experience in delivering physical site surveys and network infrastructure implementation projects.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, dynamic, face-paced environment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following…

  • PMP Certification and experience with Agile and Agile Scrum Master certifications.
  • Ability to engage clients and manage relationships at the C-Level.
  • Skills inteam building across multiple work locations and incommunication.
  • Proven track record in solvingcomplex network and application layer challenges both from a design and problem management perspective.
  • Technical skills.
  • Experience managing back office functions for engagements involving TPV Contractors and Staff Augs.
