Verizon is a Fortune 500 company and prides in servicing 99% of Fortune 500 companies and Government agencies for advanced networking and security solutions. Verizon’s Intelligent Networking Professional Services group is developing its capabilities in EMEA. Our Intelligent Networking technologies include Wi-Fi, Routing and Switching, Software Defined WAN (SDWAN), Datacentre networking, Network Access Control (NAC), Private 5G, MEC.

This team is currently hiring a Principal Cloud Architect who will work as a trusted advisor with our customers. You will handle most problems and issues independently and determine course of action for ambiguous issues.

As a Principal Cloud Architect you will :

• Take on technical integration components of a project or a complex component of a project
• Utilize specialized knowledge to complete non-routine tasks, and/or troubleshoots problems and recommend appropriate actions.
• Architect, build and deploy complex, integrated solutions including:
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Microsoft Azure.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Small to Large Scale Cloud Migration.
  • Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Connectivity.
• Work with both internal and external customers

Where you'll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape.
• Knowledge of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.)
• Experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution.
• Cloud Certifications (Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certifications.
• Experience migrating workloads to the Public Cloud or managing workloads in the Public Cloud.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with Rafay Kubernetes Operations Management Platform
• Experience with MicroServices architecture.
• Experience leading Cloud project delivery.
