What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager of Communications for Verizon Business will support the strategic vision and bridge communications programs and operations for the business unit’s global enterprise market. You will have a mix of skills and experience that include a deep understanding of and demonstrated success with creating core business-to-business narratives, media relations and crisis communications, a working knowledge of owned and operated digital and social media platforms and content strategies, managerial leadership (managing multiple partners organizations) and executive exposure.

  • Integrating and executing strategic, 360 communications plans and core narratives for Verizon Business’ Global Enterprise priorities for EMEA and APAC.
  • Managing the development of high-level, original thought leadership content ranging from media relations, Q&As, open letters, op-eds, talking points and speeches.
  • Identifying and managing Verizon Business’ speaking engagements and participating.

Where you'll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications -- journalism, public relations, advertising or relevant work experience - corporate communications or relevant work experience in public relations – media, B2B, technology.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Fluency in English.

Even better if you have one of the following:

  • Experience leading a team.
  • A strong digital rolodex of B2B and technology outlet contacts.
  • Experience working with senior executives and across a matrixed organization.
  • Extensive media relations and writing experience, as well as digital/social media savvy.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Significant experience managing multiple projects at once and seeing each to fruition with strong results.
  • Strong team player and collaborator.
  • Knowledge of large, global enterprises technologies
