What you’ll be doing...

The Sr Engr Cslt-Data Operations will be part of AI&D - Data Governance Organization which supports ensuring the development to deliver Data governance solutions. He/she will play a critical part in enabling key programs for Wireline/wireless Enterprise customers. He/she will collaborate with global teams to deliver strategic data enablement programs end to end for Verizon Customer segment. He/she will also be getting an opportunity to work on transformation programs. As a senior lead you should be coaching and mentoring high performing Technical Project management teams.


  • Resolve incidents escalated by L1 as per the agreed SLAs and timelines. They usually have a Run-Book which they can refer to for immediate resolutions. They are also supposed to coordinate with any other support or dependency groups in case the incident has any linkage.
  • Participate in management, prioritization, minor enhancements / fix activities, problem management, stability analysis, etc. Be proactive in nature thus identifying problems in advance and looking for continuous service improvements
  • Analysis of technical issues and permanent fix/solution.
  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues.
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Manage critical customer issues and facilitate communication between customers, escalation, and engineering.
  • Participate in cross-functional tasks such as new product development projects, support readiness teams, KB and other documentation activities.
  • Perform triage for technical issues with minimal direct access to the production system and metadata.
  • Handle issues that require a moderate amount of technical skill and familiarity with the Data Catalog platform.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experiencein Microservices architecture, Containers and Container Orchestration,Kubernetes architecture and deployment
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in IBM Cloud Pak, cloud native solutions, HA,DR, Backup and Storage
  • Experience in Java, yaml, JSON OS: Linux
  • Experience managing a large data ecosystem.
  • Two or more years of experience in Stakeholder and vendor management.
  • Experience with cross-team collaboration, relationship building, and management.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, etc. delivery models.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Good oral and written communication skills along with ability to create visual presentations of new ideas/status.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Telecom domain.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to integrate cross-business strategies and manage enterprise-wide resources
  • Designed an operating model that fosters reuse and sharing of Reusable assets.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing functional leaders and stakeholders.
  • Experience working on and delivering large programs.
