What you’ll be doing...

You’ll help us to find great talent with the experience and potential to make a difference for our customers and drive our business forward. Your approach to identifying and engaging prospective talent will demonstrate our belief that people are our most important asset. You will gather and analyze talent market data, understand current industry trends, and provide strategic insights to key partners to implement effective talent sourcing solutions. Using your talent market knowledge, recruiting tools, professional networks or niche communities, and external partnerships you will craft a strong sourcing strategy to cultivate pipelines of candidates and grow our talent community. The people you bring will become a part of our community of talented, driven individuals that make Verizon a great place to work.

  • Partnering with a recruiting and hiring team to clarify their talent needs and what success looks like.
  • Locating new places and new ways to source the best people in the competitive market for talent.
  • Engaging prospective talent via email and phone about open jobs and building brand affinity within your network and with external service providers.
  • Performing initial candidate outreach to determine proficiency in specific skills.
  • Identifying and participating in relevant professional networks, communities, and associations to develop talent market and sourcing expertise in targeted skills.
  • Staying proactive in the Sourcing community, keeping up with relevant trends and conferences.
  • Developing strategies to generate differentiated talent in emerging roles or highly competitive talent pools to meet long-term business needs.
  • Gathering and analyzing talent market data to build comprehensive sourcing strategies and solutions for business.
  • Identifying and engaging candidates with technical and specialized skills to fill job openings across the business organization.
  • Finding and presenting the best candidates for consideration.
  • Maintaining compliance with our process and standards.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You’ll know how to utilize a variety of talent sourcing strategies and tools to deliver a diverse pool of talent to meet the needs of the current role and who can also grow with us. You enjoy the challenge of matching individuals to roles and helping them to see how they’ll fit in and thrive at Verizon. You’ll enjoy collaborating with recruiters and hiring managers to bring great talent to their hiring teams. You are data savvy and can leverage insights to inform and enhance diverse strategies. You commit to maintaining subject matter expertise in current talent market conditions and sourcing trends.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Proactive and on-demand talent sourcing experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Two or more years of experience with sourcing talent for current or future business hiring needs within the areas of software and application development, network and systems engineering, cloud, business intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
  • Experience sourcing top talent for a variety of roles in a competitive market.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Experience withCandidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools for sourcing.
  • Experience with tracking and managing pipelines of candidates.
  • Experience using recruiting tools including but not limited to LinkedIn, Indeed, HireEz, Handshake, and others.
  • Recruited at an agency or executive search firm experience.
  • Exercised effective influence, consulting, and negotiating skills.
