What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking an experiencedSeniorSystemsArchitectwho has the ability to work with program and project leaders to define and create the architectural depictions and documents, ensuring logical flow, and address all issues. The candidate must have experience with a variety of software programs and languages and has experience in Billing. Must be able to design and discuss system strategies for platform, applications and networks.

The individual will be responsible to

  • Support and maintain the existing mainframe application.
  • Support production, testing and development environment to trouble shoot the defect tickets.
  • To migrate the legacy application from IBM mainframe to cloud based architect.
  • Review service performance and recommend strategies to achieve higher performance and availability
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to the problems.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization and automatic testing tools.
  • Working as part of our team, to help define the tools, processes and methods and develop systems that will utilize private and public clouds.
  • Review, assess, recommend, provide guidance and expert advice in the areas of system architectures, frameworks, methodologies, patterns and best practices.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders from a strategic perspective to identify and exploit opportunities to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of emerging technologies and assess competing products or vendors that can address enterprise level use cases.
  • Communicate at the right level of detail and with a clear message when interacting with any level of stakeholder.
  • Network and collaborate with Technical and business leaders of multiple organizations, develop viewpoints on industry and technology trends, publish viewpoints for industry consumption, and speak in reputed industry and partner forums.
  • Understanding security vulnerabilities from external as well as internal and how to address them.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in Mainframe (Cobol, JCL,DB2)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten plus years’ experience in mainframe (Cobol, JCL,DB2)
  • Five plus years’ experience in billing platform
  • Two plus years’ experience in Cassandra
  • Two or more years of experience in agile methodology.
  • Experience in IT and worked as an Architecture Lead.
  • Experience with all phases of Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
  • Teamwork andcollaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams
  • Communication andstakeholder management skills
  • Problem solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues
  • Experience with develop and implement solid, scalable and flexible software solutions for business and application teams migrating, transforming, and/or developing applications in the public cloud (AWS).
  • Knowledge of database design and database concepts.
  • Knowledge of J2EE, Java application servers and related technologies.
  • Ability to evaluate user needs or specifications and translate them in a logical and practical set of software components.
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
