What you’ll be doing...

The Global Technology Solution (GTS) - Digital Service and Support team is seeking talent to work in the areas of Support, Troubleshooting and Diagnostics. We build the best of class customer centric experiencefor Verizon 4G and 5G customers to self-serve in Digital.

  • Support the development and delivery of Digital Service initiatives in MVO and MVA for 5G Home and Mobile Customers.
  • Architecture Design and Implementation MVO framework.
  • Engage with Omni Channel Experience, Enterprise Architecture and other Technology and Business stakeholders to ensure the delivery and quality of key initiatives.
  • Provide Digital Service and Support Insights on the Omni Channels
  • Continue to innovate and bring new mobile technologies to the Digital Service and Support domain
  • Identified new demands and opportunities such as remote view
  • Interact and engage with business and GTS partners on new ideas
  • Heavily involved in POC (Proof Of Concept) and demo of new concepts
  • System Stability and Performance
  • Continue to partner with the Infrastructure team to improve the Stability and Performance of the platform
  • Adopt and leverage AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure quick and decisive outage resolution.
  • Strengthen the Purposeful and Performance based team culture
  • Understand the purpose of Verizon
  • Continue Leverage Global Delivery Method by monitoring and delegating
  • Serve as an example of performance based team culture

Where you'll be working...

This role will be based out of one of the locations listed in the posting. In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE software development.
  • Experience with Spring framework.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, WebService Integration, AJAX, JQuery, SQL.
  • Experience withfront end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and other web technologies.
  • Experience with APIs, Micro services and Service Oriented Architecture

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with micro services, building scalable Services and API's.
  • Experience with Kubernates, Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Nginx.
  • Expertise in XML, JSON.
  • Experience in Design Patterns,SOA/Integration technologies and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience working with REST, Sling and SOAP in a production environment.
  • Experience with data exchange protocols like JSON and XML.
  • Ability to work flexibly and appropriate trade-offs to meet time constraints.
  • Experience with web application design and analysis, design patterns, and object oriented design.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (Jenkins/Cruise Control/Maven/GitHub).
  • Experience in systems integration and development, package implementation, and/or interactive design
  • Experience with multiple source control systems: CVS, SVN, Git.
  • Knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, Apache Http, Spring tcServer, open source packages, Sun
  • Experience with ensuring quality of code is high for themselves and other team members.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks/libraries (jQuery, Grunt, Bootstrap).
  • Knowledge ofCSS pre-processing platforms (SASS).
