What you’ll be doing...

As an Associate Director for Security Professional Services (PS), you will be responsible for leading and managing security teams to deliver professional services functions within Verizon Business Group (VBG). The key strategic priorities are meeting the organization’s growth targets, productivity targets, executing on and helping mature the capabilities framework.

You will be responsible for driving the quality of delivery and operational excellence. You are expected to align business development initiatives to meet and exceed top line growth objectives within the Security PS organization. You will direct programs and strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, retention and expansion based on existing client footprint and winning new clients. You will play a key leadership role across the cross-functional teams as a strategic advisor, and a regional leader of influence in Security domain.

  • Directing the overall strategy for the organization in region and execution to drive revenue performance for the assigned practices.
  • Managing multiple managers and individual contributors assigned to each specific security domain with global and/or regional responsibilities.
  • Communicating to the executive teams on business results, growth opportunities, managing risks and competitive advantage positioning.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to achieve profitable growth in your region of responsibility. Challenging status quo with agile approach to adapting action plans when you identify business objectives and execution misalignment relative to reginal business conditions.
  • Inspired approach to routine interactions with teams and staff, such as staff meetings, region-wide meetings, round tables, and coaching/mentoring.
  • First-responder philosophy to all customer-facing delivery items.
  • Liaise with finance, management and account teams to drive growth initiatives and maintain healthy business situational awareness.
  • Be a champion of Verizon talent. Actively participate in recruiting and retaining top quality talent.
  • Engage in project and account level governance; establish regular project status reviews and health checks, provide guidance to project leaders on management system and critical success factors.

Where you'll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more yearsof relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years provenmanagement experience in leading and growing large, diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Exprience in both capacity planning, delivery, metrics assessment, financial forecasting and management.
  • Knowledge inthe regional markets and cultural nuances.
  • Experience of a broad spectrum of information Managed OR Professional Security domains Serviceses (MSS/PSS) such as cyber operations, incident response, security governance, engagement management, cloud security, security architecture, and similar topics.
  • CISSP and/or other equivalent industry-standard information security certification.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or an MBA.
  • Experience working in and navigating a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to build consensus across business units and international boundaries.
  • Ten or more years of experience managing professional services teams.
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders from client side, including CISOs.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet tight timelines imposed by clients.
  • Ability to communicate subject knowledge and expertise to provide deep and complex insight in the way clients can easily relate to.
  • Presentation skills for executive level management, public groups, industry events.
  • Personal and professional resiliency to help drive balance for your team.
