What you’ll be doing...

As part of the Network Services Compliance and DMO under the Mandatory Program, you will be responsible for driving the overall compliance of Network Systems applications and deployment of applications supporting Regulatory and Legal requirements.

You will be driving and tracking all aspects of this program. This includes compliance to Verizon Corporate Policies such as Data Retention, Information Security, Privacy and Sensitive Accounts as well as Regulatory Mandates, International Laws and Internal Audit findings. Your role will be pivotal to coordinate activities across all these functional areas. This is a critical corporate objective to help Verizon maintain compliance to all operating principles.

• Coordinating a wide variety of cross-functional objectives to support applications to maintain good standing in compliance initiatives
• Influencing stakeholders to align on program objectives and goals and not just functional area responsibilities.
• Facilitates all Mandatory initiatives, providing deep-dive meetings with application teams and Security Focal Points to drive understanding and actions for compliance.
• Utilizing project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones and keep them on track.
• Interface with cross functional teams to integrate Mandatory program requirements into the SAFE programs for priority backlog and delivery.
• Developing and implement corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives. Communicates with management and outside stakeholders to help manage workloads.
• Creating weekly status and actions on key Mandatory program content to the director teams and provide monthly updates to the executive team.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Six or more years ofwork experience in Project/Program/Product management.

Even better if you have:

• Proven track record of successful project execution.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies as it relates IT and experience with SAFe agile framework.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills including: Communicating - written, oral, listening, speaking, internal/external, formal/informal, vertical/horizontal
• Telecom experience with network technologies.
• Knowledge of Verizon Corporate Policies and Telecommunication laws
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Computer science related field.
• Ability to manage and execute competing tasks and multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
• Knowledge of Verizon’s internal processes, systems and flows.
• Influencing – getting things done.
• Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office and Google Product Suite.
• Strong leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing environment and maintain a high-performance level
• Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives.
• Experience managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
• Flexible and adaptable to handling multiple projects and strict deadlines in a rapidly-paced environment
• Ability to focus on process and the customer experience
• Experience in leadership roles in technology management.
• Experience using JIRA, Rally and Confluence for project tracking.
• A Master’s degree in Management or Computer Science or a relevant field.
