What you’ll be doing...
In this Systems and Maintenance Engineering position you’ll be working in the area of authentication and authorization services and apply your expertise in the areas of device technology, network system architecture, design, integration, testing, provisioning and billing. You’ll be routinely involved with business critical, revenue impacting issues and assigned complex issues to solve while working with diverse cross functional teams. Your ability to build consensus within Verizon and supplier and partner organizations and drive these complex issues to resolution allows you to effectively tackle any problem. You will primarily be working on enhancements to Verizon’s WLAN / Wi-Fi Access Authentication and Entitlement workflows, both of which are encompassed by services provided by the Subscriber Profile Controller (SPC) platform and related systems. You will serve as an expert, advisor and technical leader for the authentication and authorization services provided by the Subscriber Profile Controller (SPC) and related systems and leverage your expertise and relationships to drive both technical and process efficiencies and improvements in the network. You will collaborate not only within Network but with Wholesale (and their MSO partners), Marketing, IT, HQ Planning, Device Technology, Product Development and our supplier community to drive innovative solutions that elevate Verizon’s competitive advantage.
This position, in particular, is currently focused on engineering / implementing SPC-based WLAN Offload and Entitlement services.
