About our team:
The Verizon Design Team shapes brand-defining experiences for a range of consumer-facing products and services. One in three Americans uses Verizon services, so your work will have a meaningful impact at a massive scale. The team consists of the brightest designers, design strategists, researchers, and product managers collaborating to shape the customer experience.
About this role:
As a Principal Designer, you will work as an individual contributor and design leader responsible for partnering with teams to create strategies and processes that benefit the user and drive business outcomes. You will lead programs focused on the global navigation system, taxonomy, and information architecture and your work will span the design process, from problem-framing and design definition to Agile development and implementation, so your work may include everything from mapping the ideal customer journey to producing designs for development. In addition to shaping products you’ll play a critical role as a thought leader and mentor, sharing a strong point of view, elevating design dialogue and shaping the design process within teams and throughout Verizon Design. Designers, from your team and across the organization, look to you for direction. Design leaders and business partners look to you for a fresh perspective.
While this role does not require formal management responsibilities, you may lead a project team and have direct reports.
