What you’ll be doing...

The Revenue Assurance Sr. Analyst drives digital finance through complex validation processes, models and systems, while working with multiple, disparate datasets to make critical decisions that directly impact customers. You must utilize expert analytical skills and business knowledge to research billing related issues, system errors, and customer escalation´s. The work product should help Verizon leadership and core business teams make informed business decisions to ensure customer billing accuracy and to make customers whole when impacted by a system error. You will act as a liaison between internal trusted business partners (Care, BGCO, BFO, Finance, Legal, Marketing, GTS, etc.) and handle the resolution of inquiries and critical issues from internal customers in a clear, concise, timely and tactful manner. You will partner with business stakeholders to provide strategic support for new products, to ensure strong process controls are in place, and to drive process improvement initiatives.

  • Analyzing and quantifying relevant data and providing meaningful and actionable results.
  • Driving a deep understanding and knowledge of Consumer and Business customer billing.
  • Engaging in projects and prioritizing initiatives to reduce billing errors.
  • Supporting program initiatives with respect to billing errors or bill messages.
  • Writing SQL scripts between multiple tables, and using the data to validate and reconcile transactions that impact billing (National Billing Errors, Bill Messages, Projects, Products/Services).

You’re accurate, analytical, organized and detailed with assignments, preparing reports, status and presentations. You have a strong desire to ensure accurate and timely recording of company revenues, and proven experience managing tasks on multiple projects with deadline requirements. You’re able to provide your expertise on complex projects. You’re familiar with continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis. You’re a proactive thinker, and know how to identify potential scenarios and risks that may impact the revenue stream and lead to errors. Above all, you place the highest priority on the Verizon Credo, quality and revenue assurance to ensure a delightful customer experience through billing accuracy.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SQL, including knowledge of stored data and create SQL scripts.
  • Experience and knowledge of business processes such as billing, roaming, alerting.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience and deep understanding of Oracle, Teradata, Tableau, Hadoop, Qlik. Ideally holding a certification in at least one.
  • Willingness to workevenings and weekends.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, including experience with macros, Vlookups, pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Slides, Docs, and Forms, including macros, Vlookups, pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Experience and knowledge of Network and GTS systems and applications that impact billing such as JITR, UB, Vision, MTAS, CPI, ACSS, POS, MARS, EDW, SCM, MVO, MVA.
