What you’ll be doing...

You will be part of the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team, a growing group focused on corporate governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement related to Verizon’s environmental and social goals, data and progress. You will be responsible for managing a variety of high-impact, high-visibility projects. The position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking with the ability to be self-directed, and to conceptualize, design and execute projects across multiple functions. The role will entail partnering with various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Oversee and manage project timelines, align key stakeholders, coordinate day to day logistics and own all related processes, record keeping and documentation. Support the productivity of project meetings by owning the planning, agenda, notes and assigning action items.
  • Act as team liaison for key internal and external stakeholders and work to meet project milestones and secure necessary approvals by the assigned deadlines.
  • Ensure all stakeholder feedback is incorporated on an ongoing basis, coordinate feedback loops, and build strong relationships across the enterprise to increase efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure informational accuracy with supporting data validation, acting as a final checkpoint for messaging and content delivered to senior leaders and made public by the organization.
  • Identify risk mitigation strategies, improve current processes, define new operational strategies and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
  • Own specific projects on behalf of the SVP/VP and deliver recommendations the team can execute effectively.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to ESG team leadership and assist in facilitating effective decision making.
  • Manage external partners/vendors and related budgets
