What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Connect is recruiting a Partnership Development Manager to create innovative partnerships across our connected vehicle software platforms. Based in the US, the Business Development Manager responsible for identifying, analyzing, recommending, and closing strategic business opportunities throughout North America. The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated, analytical, strategic, and personable. They will be experienced in targeting, pitching, negotiating and closing deals with C-Level decision makers. The role will also require close collaboration with key stakeholders such as Legal, Product, Finance, Marketing, Operations and other business units across Verizon Connect. As a member of this entrepreneurial and results-oriented team, you will have a significant impact on defining and building the world’s largest connected vehicle ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, analyze, and recommend strategic partnership opportunities
  • Create a strategic business development plan to reach objectives
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to define new partnership opportunities in order to bring new products and features to market

Work Location:

This position will preferentially work "hybrid" with a defined work location that includes work from home and as-needed office days near any valid US VBG Verizon Administrative Office, with preference towards Verizon Connect locations: Boston, San Diego, Atlanta, Charlotte, Temple Terrace, and Chicago (Rolling Meadows, IL). Additional locations for fully-remote work may be considered."

You will need to have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Sales, Product Management, Business Development or Strategy.
  • Experience with connected vehicle technology (including electric vehicles), products to keep drivers and their vehicles safe, and the transportation industry.

  • Previous experience in strategy consulting, sales, strategic account development.
  • Experience working within a large global environment and across internal and external teams to define partner initiatives.
  • Prior experience executing partnership deals.
  • Experience maneuvering deals with long sales cycles.
  • Experience with Verizon Sourcing.
  • Ability to accommodate partners and calls in multiple time zones.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using analytical and quantitative skills to drive toward data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to define measures of success with each relationship and use data to analyze success.
  • Ability to predict and manage evolution of our relationships.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy.
  • Strong time management and project skills.
