What you’ll be doing...

As the Associate Director for Financial Governance, Program/Release Mgt & Culture/Communications, this role will be a key leader managing the Central Office functions in the VCG GTS Organization. This role will work very closely with our Business partners and all GTS leaders. While this position will report to the Director of Program Planning and Design/ Agile COE, it will also have a strong direct reporting relationship to the Executive Director and Vice President for Budget and FInancial Reporting.

This position will require strategic/innovative thinking skills, excellent Financial background and knowledge of Agile scaling and Agile industry trends to lead the critical Central office areas. The incumbent will need strong executive presence, communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical and financial information and trade-offs, and tell a compelling story to inform/influence a diverse group of stakeholders and leadership.

Financial Governance,Program andRelease Mgmt,Culture andCommunications responsibilities:

  • Spearhead Budget & Resource management for VCG-GTS organization and partner with the finance and resource organizations to ensure accuracy of budget tracking and accountability
  • Transform Budget and Resource management to align with Product Model Agile Teams planning
  • Take ownership of Financial governance to ensure compliance and integrity of time reporting and data by VCG GTS leadership teams
  • Plan, coordinate and effectively communicate the annual budget process and ongoing budget maintenance to ensure timeliness and quality.
  • Lead an environment of innovation and continuous improvement to automate PMO and Release management reporting & communication.
  • Own and lead the Portfolio planning team responsible for VCG-GTS front door responsibilities
  • Solid knowledge of Business programs and Agile teams supporting key programs to provide guidance to working teams.
  • Handle all executive and business facing PMO related reports, manage all escalations and ensure timely follow up.
  • Lead ceremonies to manage Release health status, remove impediments and ensure timely delivery of Programs
  • Release calendar maintenance/publication
  • Optimize the use of tools like Jira and Clarity to ensure effective tracking of program status, release status, Agile teams, resources etc
  • Lead the evolution of PMO and Release mgmt to support Agile transformation.
  • Define and execute on an internal communications strategy, ensuring that business goals, initiatives and organizational/people news are communicated regularly and effectively
  • Own and lead the team to help drive communications, and culture building activities

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Agile methodology.
  • Experience within a telecommunications, networking, or managed service provider field.
  • Experience hiring/training/supervising managers/employees and working with global teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Systems, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience with working with employees to correct deficiencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion
  • Google drive suite services (Google Docs, Google Sheets)
  • Detailed oriented abilitiesto ensure that project success is paramount
  • Verbal and communication skills
  • Analytical skills and an out of the box thinker
  • Ability to present concisely and effectively to critical audiences including director and executives
  • Absolute customer focus and Strong organization skills
  • Experience in managing large budgets and managing vendors
  • Experience in a senior leadership position and/or Agile Transformation
  • Skill level using project management tools, office productivity, and data analytics tools
  • Experience in Google Suite and/or MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Two or more years of experience building executive presentations.
  • Storytelling skills and a commitment to excellence.
  • Presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead others through influence.
  • Experience with innovative application of data- and metric-driven performance management to lower cost and drive efficiency
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and adapt to changes
  • Experience driving adoption for greater agile servant leadership and autonomous teams
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
