What you’ll be doing...

You will manage the Shared Platform team andthe associated projects to drive the development/adoption of the shared platform. In this role, your primary focus is to provide vision and operational support for the shared platform basically the Canvas Platform, User Experience and New Technology Practices. The User Experience is a new center of excellence and you will be in charge to set up the vision and scale the practice. You will also be in charge of developing the Marketplace within the Shared Platform, this MarketPlace will hold all the reusable/self-service products that can be utilized by anyone interested. You would be working on building reusable components that the whole NS group can utilize to solve the business problems. You would also be working towards bringing new technology such as Computer Vision, AR/VR, Digital Twin, etc to the NS domain teams via the shared platform. You would be working on building reusable components that introduce these new technologies to NS in such a way that the complexity of the technology is hidden from developers who want to use the technology to solve business problems. You will also focus on shared platform adoption analytics and will provide intelligence to increase the adoption rate of the shared platform. You will provide thought leadership, strategy, and direction to the teams to achieve the goal.

  • Lead a strong team of software engineers.
  • Demonstrate strong team leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams across various workgroups.
  • Provide vision for scaling the User Experience Center of Excellence.
  • Provide vision & drive adoption of Canvas platform / associated modules.
  • Provide vision and rollout of Shared Platform Marketplace.
  • Vision for the new technology opportunities in the organization primarily focused around xR, CV, Process mining.
  • Enable the practice of building shared platform around the new technology [xR, CV].
  • Work closely with Transformation Office to enable the committed savings.
  • Utilize your exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) to lead calls with technical teams or deliver presentations or updates to executives.
  • Apply your experience in application development, systems engineering, and IT management.
  • Manage schedules, be accountable and deliver projects on time in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Contribute technically and own architectural oversight of system/services.
  • Build a culture focused outward on the customer, with speed and agility.
  • Drive results within budget, time, and quality.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

    What we’re looking for...

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience with a Customer Experience framework.
    • Experience leading shared platform development in the telecom industry.
    • Knowledge of telecom operations and terminology.
    • Knowledge of software development, systems engineering, and IT.
    • Experience managing an onshore-offshore delivery model.
    • Experience migrating applications to Cloud and hands-on in K8s.
    • Experience developing scalable, high availability systems with disaster recovery.
    • Experience using DevOps toolset.
    • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
    • Experience developing using java/javascript/GO and other high-level languages on both intel and Unix environments.
    • Experience designing user interfaces for mobile and desktop applications that provide a responsive and simple experience to users.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
    • Fluency in English.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
    • Masters degree.
    • Experience with shared platform development.
    • AWS certification.
    • Knowledge of the network domain for Verizon legacy networks and provisioning/turn up processes.
