What you’ll be doing...

As a 5G Wireless Professional Services (PS) Senior Manager of the Cellular Networks PMO, you will be managing a team of technical project managers leading high-touch delivery and client relationship development within the Verizon Business Group 5G Wireless Professional Services Cellular Networks practice. You will act as a thought leader in delivery functions and lead the team in the delivery of solutions and deployment services for customers in all segments and verticals. You will be responsible for the definition, implementation, and enforcement of project management governance and delivery standards as well as proactively increasing the technical skill set and solution understanding of the technical project managers on your team. You will lead the nurturing of customer relationships and effective communication of project and/or issue status to Verizon key stakeholders as well as customer management and executives. You must be an action oriented, growth minded, results driven high performer with a history of achievement operating in a fast paced environment.

• Technical background in, and understanding of, the deployment of 4G/5G and private cellular systems
• Program management/project management rigor in creating project schedules, tracking and reporting with accuracy, proactively identifying and resolving blockers to the success of the project; escalating client or internal issues proactively to upper management so there are no surprises. Ensuring the projects are being delivered on time within budget and with quality and high client satisfaction.
• Able to identify opportunities for process improvements and proactively takes ownership to resolve
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage delivery according to contractual obligations including resource management, financial governance, standards maintenance, progress tracking, and reporting
• Proven ability to identify areas for business growth and lead efforts from ideation through service launch.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and be accountable for results.
• Proven ability to manage a large workload through effective task delegation and prioritization
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through creative approaches
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, whether written or verbal
• Experience leading and proactively developing a team including items such as compensation planning, performance appraisals, personal development and team planning.
• Managing workload balancing and resource capacity allocation on the project teams using standard project management approaches and estimation techniques.
• Project estimation and resource allocation and management experience

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Technical knowledge and ability to quickly learn new technologies
• PMP certification
• Eight or more years of relevant work experience
• Leadership experience operating in a highly complex and dynamic environment
• Experienceto engage clients and manage relationships at the executive level
• Experience in designing and deploying Enterprise Solutions in a technical environment.
• Experience leading projects through the entire project lifecycle.
• Experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Communications and team building skills across multiple work locations
• Ability to be a strategic thinker with high degree of intellectual curiosity to provide insightful analysis and effective decisions
• Network information technology education, training, and/or certification
• Additional process or project management certifications
