When you join Verizon
Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.
What you’ll be doing...
At Verizon we believe technology should help you achieve more. And we help businesses do exactly that almost daily —co-creating innovative connected products, rapidly and securely deploying apps in the cloud, managing employee-owned devices on a global scale, and deflecting sophisticated hacker attacks. In support of our world leading position in Cyber Security, we have recently launched a new service, the Computer Emergency Response Team (CSIRT).
Verizon’s newly offered service will consist of a designated consultant full time or as a shared resource, who will work with Verizon’s security services teams and Customer’s security and IT staff as well as users and other important partners. You will also be working within the incident management process in accordance with the procedures designed in cooperation with the Customer. On a day to day basis you will assist with identifying and responding to incidents as well as proactively propose improvements for how to reduce risk and potential future incidents.
Where you'll be working…
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for...
You are a specialist in the field of security incident response. You have three or more years of information security experience with a focus on Incident Response as well as technical certifications to reinforce their practical experience. You have strong coordination, communication and collaborations skills as well as a good technical and architectural understanding.
You'll need to have:
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
Why Verizon?
Verizon is committed to maintaining a Total Rewards package which is competitive, valued by our employees, and differentiates us as an Employer of Choice.
Your benefits package will vary depending on the country in which you work.
