What you’ll be doing...

The Junior Analyst will report to the Manager – Professional Services Operations on the VBG Professional Services Strategy & Transformation team, and he/she will work with business unit and functional leaders at the highest levels within the organization, to execute on a variety of strategic and transformational projects aimed at achieving the strategic and financial objectives of the business and preparing the business for future. The consultant may be asked to drive business transformation efforts, new revenue-generating initiatives, or analytical undertakings across multiple Verizon business units and also across the wireless and wireline organizations. These transformation initiatives will be conceived at the highest levels of the organization and, as such, will have visibility at that level.

The JuniorAnalyst will lead the execution of analytical solutions and reporting development, including driving program, project, and initiative progress, and the development and delivery of analytical solutions that support professional services operations, executive management and delivery teams.

• Solves problems; provides solutions and process designs.
• Partner with stakeholders to deeply understand the business problems and drive application of analytics techniques to support solutions
• Develop software code/ scripts and / or build automation of analytics / dashboards to create custom solutions / insights for business outcomes; develop analytical solutions to support the VBG Professional Services leadership and delivery teams.
• Determine go-forward optimizations based on analysis and learnings

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
• SQL or Python experience.
• Experience in supporting Automation, Integration or Machine learning.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• MBA or Masters in Information Systems, Computer science or Quantitative fields with at least (3) years of relevant experience
• Management Consulting or IT Consulting experience
• Experience in tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik-Sense, SAP, Teradata, PostgreSql
• AI / ML data science experience.
• Ability to frame and break down complex business problems into key components and recommend practical solutions
• Ability to prioritize, run and deliver on multiple assignments with minimal direction
• Proven ability to develop and/or drive highly visible initiatives from ideation to final product while collaborating cross functionally and managing stakeholder expectations
• Demonstrated effective presentation and communications skills to accurately represent and convey information both in verbal and written form to multiple levels of an organization
• Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments
• Desire for continued technical growth.
