What you’ll be doing...

As a Data scientist, you will be working with a diverse group of highly talented professionals to leverage company data to drive business solutions.

  • Mining and analysing data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Using predictive modeling to assess data quality and key business metrics
  • Coordinating with different functional teams to monitor data pipelines
  • Developing processes and tools to monitor and analyze data accuracy
  • Working with stakeholders throughout the organization.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience investigating, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets.
  • Experience in a variety of data mining/data analysis methods and tools.
  • Experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
  • Knowledge of and experience with coding languages (e.g., Python, C#, Javascript, R).

Even better if you also have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
  • Strong mathematical, statistical, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience using cloud services (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, S3).
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics (e.g., regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks).
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
  • Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data (e.g., Looker, Mode, PowerBI, ggplot, Tableau, Periscope).
