What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a Product Owner for Verizon Business Group (VBG) to drive strategic initiatives and building unique solutions enabling digital (service management) growth driving traffic, sales, and self-serve opportunities for our customers. You will be responsible for safeguarding our digital portal from vulnerabilities, potential threat, and keeping our platform secured from any potential fraud. You will have a front row seat in working with our business customers to understand their pain-points, building customer journey, partnering with stakeholders across the business, and building solutions to implementation delivering value driven outcomes for our customers and business. You must be an action oriented, results driven professional with a history of achievement operating in a fact paced environment. We’re looking for you to bring the latest and greatest features to our customers—and to help us tell the marketplace about what’s new and why they need to have it. You’ll put your analytical and marketing skills to work by studying the latest tech trends to identify what features people want and are going to want down the road. Collaborating with others, you’ll build the roadmap and drive the process from ideation through design and roll-out—and build compelling value messages along the way. Your focus will be on products, features, and services that solve customer challenges and help make people’s lives better.

  • Understanding and anticipating market needs.
  • Defining requirements and leading the team through design and development.
  • Tracking success metrics and communicating results to management.
  • Building new features and optimize digital capabilities that reduce cost/drive revenue through the positioning of the Verizon feature/application portfolio.
  • Partnering with cross functional teams (IT, Marketing, and Legal) to obtain priority and ensure product viability.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams during the development and implementation of key digital solutions that cross multiple channels.
  • Designing rough sketched wireframe designs and working with UX design team to articulate the vision.
  • Summarizing projects for executive updates and reviews.
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders (CMO, Sourcing, Ops Support, IT, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Vendors and Agencies) teams to maximize digital traffic.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with customer-facing portals and/or project management.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing or communications.
  • Developed and executed marketing strategies.
  • Analyzed data and shared marketing insights and recommendations. Ideally, presented to audiences of different levels and functions.
  • Managed complex projects with shifting priorities, demands, and stakeholders. Ideally, with cross-functional teams and agencies.
  • Direct marketing, digital media/marketing, and local engagement experience.
