What you’ll be doing...

This role will have responsibility for overall maintenance, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting for Oracle and SQL Server databases: Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.

  • Backup and recovery of Oracle/SQL Server.
  • Applying patches and upgrade database versions.
  • Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks.
  • Query and performance tuning.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation

Where you'll be working:

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of experience as Oracle database administration of high availability production systems.
  • Experience in creation and maintenance of Oracle database instance, database design, database performance monitoring and tuning and Unix/Linux shell script.
  • Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard experience.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014.
  • Experience in Oracle 10G/11g/12C Grid control, database backup and recovery.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Ability to be flexible to provide 24x7 production support.
  • Ability to be a self-motivated team player with strong team concept.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Cassandra and MongoDB.
  • Oracle certification.
