What you’ll be doing...

Responsible for data science projects applying cutting edge machine learning (ML) techniques and AI technology; develop and deliver the next generation AI/ML solutions to the business; create analytical models to predict customer behavior and business events; present the results to various business partners; develop resolutions to complex problems; communicate technical information to non-technical audiences; lead engagement with key business stakeholders in discussion on business strategies and opportunities; build strong working relationship and develop deep partnership with the business; lead portfolios of data science projects and deliver innovative technical solutions to solve problems and improve business outcomes; explore large data sets for relationships, insights, and anomalies; lead the design and development of machine learning/statistical models and ensure best performance; work with engineers to deploy models in production both in real time and in batch process and systematically track model performance; act as a subject matter expert on machine learning and predictive modeling and a mentor to junior data scientists; drive technical innovation through active research and applications of new theories, techniques, and technologies; incubate data science and machine learning tools for use in the organization.

What we’re looking for...

Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering and Management, Control Theory, Statistics, or a related field and 2 years of experience in object-oriented programming using Java, C++, Python, and R; solving classification and clustering problems; performing information retrieval from unstructured and semi-structured data sets using big data technologies such as Spark/Hadoop; using advanced statistics to solve business problems; building supervised and semi-supervised learning solutions; and working with data structures, data modeling, mathematical modeling, and quantitative analysis. In lieu of a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above followed by 5 years of progressive in the skill sets stated above. Experience therein to include 1 year in developing and deploying end to end machine learning pipelines in hive and spark ecosystem using XGBoost/CatBoost, RandomForest, Bayesian Network, and k-means; using deep learning algorithms such as CNN, RNN, and LSTM; detecting anomalies in images/videos using image segmentation; processing unstructured data using python libraries, transformer models (such as BERT and RoBERTa), and embedding techniques for Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks; and performing Unix Shell programming and version control using GIT. Must have ability to work from home.
