What you’ll be doing...

Thisopportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program or are participants of the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2022.

You’ll provide leadership and support to oversee the sustainability of the nation’s largest and most reliable 5G network. Your role will involve leading and developing a high-performing team to effectively perform network management responsibilities, drive project completion, and ensure our effectiveness in responding to real-time escalation issues. We are constantly innovating to enhance the customer experience and you can play a vital role in changing the way our customers live, work, and play. Other aspects of this position involve safety and training compliance, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, maintaining the technician work schedules, tracking absences and ensuring timely completion of timesheet approvals. This is a fast paced environment with plenty of variety. This is a 24x7 environment.

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a high performing team while driving change to meet strategic business goals.

  • Proactively monitoring the network and effectively handling Tactical Outage, Situational Management, and Unplanned Outage Events.

  • Providing technical assistance and communicating technical information and status to customer service centers, technical support organizations, and management teams.

  • Developing and implementing global response plans to network-impacting events.

  • Managing the daily governance of KPI’s utilizing various reports, GPS data and observations.

  • Performing a variety of administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling, reporting and project tracking.

  • Managing performance including: safety, training, quality, productivity and feedback.

  • Fostering an open communication environment.

  • Providing after hours support.

  • Sharing best practices and mentoring to share knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies.

You’ll need to have:

  • Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2022.

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and organizational budgets.

  • Willingness to travel up at least 50-75% of the time.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Four or more years of supervisory experience in a network, field operations or related environment.

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.

  • Five or more years of experience administering processes and policies as they relate to: safety, attendance, performance work rules and code of conduct.

  • Five or more years of experience and knowledge of the following: CO or Terminal transport systems, DS1 through OCN, DWDM, ULH, Fiber locating, Fiber splicing, outside plant construction and CPE.

  • Five or more years of technical knowledge, specifically basic power knowledge, fiber optics installation, maintenance, voice and data services.

  • Knowledge of basic employment/labor laws.

  • Critical thinking skills to solve both strategic and tactical challenges on a daily basis with advanced skills to perform complex work and the ability to provide clear and timely responses and feedback.

  • Experience managing budgets, operating margins and financial controls.

  • Strong organization skills that focus on attention to details.

  • Ability to coach and/or provide corrective action.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Project Management processes.

  • Knowledge of data analytics/metrics management, and a willingness to effectively drive change across the enterprise.

  • Ability to manage remote teams

  • Well-developed communication, organization, and leadership skills.
