What you’ll be doing...

Our Global Technology Solutions group is seeking a Technical Architect to play a critical, client-facing role that interacts with multiple application teams with the goal of creating the next generation architecture in service of Verizon Customer Care Centers. The architect will facilitate collaboration sessions and ensure consistency and alignment from both a technical and process alignment perspective. Youwill be responsible for working on efforts linked to the Verizon Business group (VBG) initiatives.

  • This is a technical position that will require the architect to review, assess, recommend, provide guidance and expert advice in the areas of technology architectures, frameworks, methodologies, patterns and best practices.
  • This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders from a strategic perspective to identify and exploit opportunities to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of emerging technologies and assess competing products or vendors that can address enterprise level use cases.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly versatile to communicate at the right level of detail and with a clear message when interacting with any level of stakeholder.
  • Must be ready to network and collaborate with Technical and business leaders of multiple organizations, develop viewpoints on industry and technology trends, publish viewpoints for industry consumption, and speak in reputed industry and partner forums.
  • The role will focus on engineering innovative, strategic, and long-term solutions that align with Verizon enterprise architecture standards. The Technical Architect will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to establish and maintain technical assets within the enterprise technology portfolio

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with emerging technologies and tools; Chat Bots, AI and ML, ETL tools, Data Lakes, Hadoop, JavaScript & React Native
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Five or moreyears of experience in Telecom Industry Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience in defining and driving Cloud migration and strategy.
  • Experience withbusiness intelligence technologies and data analysis.
  • General operational experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills andunderstanding of systems.
  • Experience in articulating business drivers and architectural approach/trade-offs during solution discussions.
  • Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence and UML diagrams, inter and intra system dependencies within the functional domain and across them.
  • Ability to facilitate group meetings/discussions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and define the path forward.
  • Prior experience with supporting Call Center Applications and IVR systems
