What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Product Manager of Security Access Gateway services will within the Security Product Management group will have principal responsibility for the Verizon Secure Access Gateway Environment (SAGE) solutions overseeing the proper alignment of the Verizon managed services with the Enterprise and Public sector market, while supporting the overall Security product portfolio and strategy for International markets. You’ll identify new Security product candidates and product enhancements, gather customer feedback, define product requirements and pricing, create business cases and use cases, build product roadmap, train sales channels, and launch Security products. This role will ultimately own the program delivery for Security products.

  • Analyzing Security market space and Verizon product positioning within the Security and Identity market.
  • Developing security and monetization strategy with a strong focus on operational efficiency and support of SAGE solutions.
  • Developing identity security solution that can be delivered and sold independent of transportation carrier or transportation technology.
  • Identifying Security solutions that complements other Verizon products.
  • Driving Product requirements for the Development group (depending on functionality/release these requirements can be high-level or detailed).
  • Assisting sales and Solutions Engineers in large security and identity opportunities.
  • Partnering with Product lifecycle management (PLM)/ LBA, sourcing and IT development, manage the content of releases, ensuring a healthy mix of new functionality and improvements in internal efficiency/scalability.
  • Partnering with Marketing, create and deliver key aspects of system and platform management messaging in support of the Security Products and services.
  • Promoting the SAGE and other Security products portfolio to the sales team through product training and development of high quality product collateral.
  • Encouraging cross-business unit collaboration and building strong partnerships both internally and externally with product development, network, operations, sales, marketing and advertising teams to ensure consistent focus on improving the product P&L and meeting established goals.
  • Interfacing with Security Solution Leadership, Product Lifecycle Management, Sales, Verizon Network Operations team, IT Development team, support team, Legal, and Finance.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of related working experience.
  • Six or more year’s marketing/product management experience with a focus on Australian Cybersecurity.
  • Six or more year of service/product development lifecycle experience from gathering requirements, establishing offering roadmaps, developing offerings, and developing all required documentation (e.g., service specs, marketing plans, sales guides, white papers, brochures), offering updates/refreshes and training.
  • Experience in Secure Gateway offerings, as well as knowledgeable the field of Digital transformation.
  • Experience in managing/implementing one or more of security compliance programs - ISM, PSPF, IRAP, ISO 9001/27001, PCI, SSAE, ITIL.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Security and Compliance certifications: CISSP, ISO27001, IRAP.
  • Australian Security Clearance, NV1 or above.
  • Driving and managing a service line and implementing strategy and executing plans for business growth.
  • Ability to talk to internal and external customers and prospects, understand their requirements, and translate this into security and identity offerings going forward.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners.
  • Strong presentation skills, including with a senior executive-level audience.
  • Understanding of Digital Transformation and Cloud Computing.
  • Understanding of project management practices.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence and other service management tools.
