What you’ll be doing...

As Verizon’s Marketing Automation Manager you’ll be an essential member of the team responsible for owning and or contributing to the strategy and execution of customer retention, cross sell and upsell programs. In addition to optimizing current campaigns, you will be working closely with product, legal, marketing sciences, and other teams to recommend best in class execution tactics. This role combines a highly visible position within the Verizon Business Group with working behind the scenes to accomplish goals and execute Marketing programs.

  • Leading the development of campaigns based on both buyer and business needs in conjunction with Marketing Communications, Product Marketing, Partner and Sales Teams.
  • Collaborating and partnering with internal Verizon teams and external vendors to understand the scope, deliverables, timelines, components and desired results of the campaigns.
  • Making recommendations based on data in order to maximize effort.
  • Building, executing and reporting on Marketo email campaigns and Salesforce telemarketing campaigns.
  • Leading or collaborating on ideation and execution of new ideas, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, product managers, sales, and marketing.
  • Driving multiple projects from strategy to execution in a fast-paced environment in an organized way.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of marketing experience within an enterprise based company.
  • Experience with Email platforms (such as Marketo, Eloqua, or Pardot) and CRM experience (such as Salesforce).
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Marketo experience preferred.
  • Marketo Certified Associate and/or Marketo Certified Expert (current).
  • One or more years of multi-channel campaign execution experience, either agency or in-house, ideally, telecommunications, or related service industry.
  • Marketo Certified Associate and/or Marketo Certified Expert (current).
  • Ability to manage highly complex, cross functional projects and initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization structure and the ability to influence up, down, and across groups.
  • Experience in creating email journeys, nurture and complex targeting programs.
  • Experience in creating and managing multiple programs across multiple tactics and customer segments.
  • Knowledge of data extraction tools (ex: SQL, Alteryx).
