Video Conferencing

(formerly Videoconferencing)

I.          SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

1.         Video Conferencing. Video Conferencing permits a Customer to conduct a point‑to‑point or point-to-multipoint videoconference using: (i) (a) Switched 56 kbps or 64 kbps service access via ISDN provided by Verizon or a Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) or (b) Internet Protocol (IP) access from Customer video endpoints via the Public Internet, dedicated access to Verizon network or Private IP Service; and, (ii) port connections furnished by Verizon. Participants in certain international locations may connect to a Dial-Out Video Conferencing call (or videoconference call) accessed via ISDN.

2.         Port Connections. For Premier, Standard and Unattended Service Levels, port connections must be scheduled and reserved in advance of the videoconference and are available on a first‑come, first-serve basis. Port connections must be reserved in 15-minute increments with a 30-minute minimum reservation. A port connection cancellation charge will apply if a scheduled videoconference is canceled by the Customer within 2 hours of the scheduled conference time.

If during technical assistance situations a site still cannot connect over video using the Meet-Me access method, Customer will have the option to dial in using audio access. If specifically requested by Customer, the Conference Coordinator will attempt a Dial-Out to the site. In the event that a Dial-Out connection is made by the Conference Coordinator, Dial-Out charges apply. Dial-Out access for any reason other than that related to technical issues will only be available using a Reserved, Attended Service level conference call.

3.5       Remote Call Launching. Customer arranges for a Verizon Conference Coordinator to dial directly to their video unit in order to initiate a video connection from that unit either directly into another Customer video unit or into a Verizon video bridge port.
