Combined Service and Access Plans

A Combined Service and Access Plan (CSAP) is available to Customers who subscribe to or enter into an agreement for one of the following service arrangements or options (Combined Service) containing term and volume commitments:

MCI VisionVIP Plus

MCI Vision Customized Business Programs

Vnet Network Savings Plan (NSP)

Vnet Worldwide

MCI 800 Service Insurance Plan Plus (MCI 800 VIP Plus)

Network Pricing Plan (NPP)

Special Customer Arrangements (SCA) Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type 4 and Type 6

A CSAP enrolls each of a Customer's Qualifying Dedicated Access Circuits (described below) in an Access Pricing Plan (APP) for a term that ends on the termination date of the term commitment for the Combined Service.  The CSAP provides APP discounts on charges for Qualifying Dedicated Access Circuits associated with an APP term commitment equivalent in length to the Combined Service term commitment.  For example, if a Customer adds a new T‑1 Digital Access circuit two years into its 3‑year VIP Plus term, the Customer will receive 3‑year APP discounts.  All terms and conditions described herein for APPs apply to the access circuits included in CSAP, as supplement or varied by those described below.

Customers who enrolled in an MCI Vision VIP Plus plan or MCI Vision Customized Business Program prior to May 26, 1993 could, on or before November 30, 1993, enroll Qualifying T‑1 Digital Access Circuits in a new CSAP without changing the expiration date of the Combined Service.  Customers who enrolled in an APP prior to May 26, 1993, and who wished to enroll in a CSAP could do so on or before November 30, 1993, provided that the CSAP was of equal or greater term than the original APP.  Customers who enrolled in an Access Pricing Plan may terminate the APP without liability if they enroll the T‑1 Digital Access circuit(s) in a CSAP with an expiration date on or after the termination date of the APP.

1.         Qualifying Dedicated Access Circuits

Qualifying T-1 Digital Access Circuits of Customers of MCI Vision VIP Plus and MCI Vision Customized Business Programs, whether new or existing circuits, are automatically enrolled in a CSAP.  For those Customers, one channelized T-1 Digital Access circuit qualifies for a CSAP for each whole $36,000 of annual undiscounted usage charges committed to by the Customer under a Combined Service.  For NSP, MCI 800 VIP Plus, and NPP, the Customer must have minimum monthly usage of $100,000 or be enrolled in a Special Customer Arrangement Type 1 - 4 or 6 to be eligible for a CSAP and must designate in writing each circuit to be included in the CSAP.  All of those Customers' Dedicated Access circuits qualify.

2.         Term and Notification Requirements

The termination date of the CSAP is the termination date of the associated Combined Service.  If the Customer is enrolled in more than one combined service, the termination date of the CSAP shall be the later combined services termination date.  MCI Vision VIP Plus and MCI Vision Customized Business Program Customers may exclude any one or more Qualifying Dedicated Access Circuits by giving written notice for existing circuits on the date of enrollment in the Combined Service or for new circuits a date prior to installation of the circuits to be excluded.

3.         Early Termination

A Customer who disconnects a Qualifying Dedicated Access Circuit prior to the expiration of a CSAP term will be billed and required to pay an early termination charge equal to 50 percent of the undiscounted monthly recurring charges for the discontinued circuit times the months remaining in the CSAP term, with a maximum termination charge not to exceed one month's undiscounted monthly rate at the time of discontinuation for Customers in a one‑year CSAP; two months' undiscounted monthly rate at the time of termination for Customers in a two‑year CSAP; six months' undiscounted monthly rate at the time of termination for Customers in a three‑year CSAP; eight months' undiscounted monthly rate at the time of termination for Customers in a four‑year CSAP; and ten months' undiscounted monthly rate at the time of termination for Customers in a five‑year CSAP.

4.         Renewal

Upon expiration or renewal of the term of a Combined Service associated with a CSAP, the CSAP will automatically expire or renew, as the case may be, for a term equal to that of the associated renewing Combined Service.
