The airline mileage between two locations is calculated using the Vertical (V) and Horizontal (H) Coordinates of the serving wire centers associated with the customer location and the service switch.

√((V₁-V₂)²+(H₁-H₂)²)/10

where V₁ and H₁ correspond to the V & H coordinates of customer wire center 1 and V₂ and H₂ correspond to the V & H coordinates of the service switch.
