Cubify Cube 3D Printing At CES 2015 [Live]

I just stopped by the Intel display at CES 2015 and one of the first pieces of tech that caught my eye was the Cube 3D printer. I have known about the Cube for a while, but seeing it in person was an experience all its own. Intel was right at the start of printing several new objects, and the printer hummed along at a very quiet clip.

The Cube features a mobile application for Android and iOS which makes it incredibly simply to print from the company’s curated brand collections. Users can also inspire a Design Feed for inspiration.  According to the company Cube offers, “a curated shopping experience centered around personalized fashion, décor, toys and more, a community inspiring the latest in 3D design and printing possibilities and access to the easiest home 3D printers and related products.” Simply prep and print direct from the Cube.  You can also print over WiFi with the Cubify app for Mac OS X and Windows. A USB stick is also supplied with the Cube for easy print transferring.

One of my favorite parts of the Cubify Cube 3D Printer is the insta-load cartridges, preloaded filament jets and an auto-leveling print pad for 70 micron high-resolution prints.

If you are looking for colored printed, the Cube features 20 colors and dual-color jetted mashables. Mix and match dual-color and dual-materials.

For environmentally conscious users, the Cube offers recyclable ABS and compostable PLA plastic options.

Cube is also family friendly with certified-safe home printing. The Cube is recommended for children 8+ and meets IEC Home Printer Certification 60953 (TUV).

Three of the printers were operating in tandem at the show and they are all creating 3D models with solid precision. The cuts looks smooth, and the designs are following along perfectly with the app uploaded designs.

The Cubify Cube 3D printer sells for $999.
