Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 3 (WITS 3)

The WITS 3 contract will expire on February 28, 2026

The WITS 3 contract will expire on February 28, 2026 and the GSA has mandated that no services can remain on that contract past the expiration date. We urge you to act as quickly as possible to either move or terminate your remaining services under the WITS 3 contract to avoid the risk of a gap in service and the end of contract rush. As of the expiration date, the contractual authority to provide services under this contract will cease, and any remaining services will be terminated. To prevent a service shutdown event, it is imperative that all remaining services be transitioned to a successor contract vehicle (such as EIS) before this deadline.

Commitment to Support

To ensure the continuity of your agency’s mission-critical operations, we strongly urge you to take the following steps immediately:

  • Engage Program Support: Coordinate directly with your designated Program Support teams to audit all active Service Inventory (SI).
  • Establish a Transition Timeline: Create a granular, week-by-week migration schedule that accounts for site surveys, equipment lead times, and cutover windows.
  • Finalize Transition Orders: Ensure all necessary transition orders have been issued to your new service providers to allow for sufficient installation and testing time.

Our primary goal is to avoid any disruption to your agency's communications. However, transitioning services is a complex process, and waiting until the final weeks of the contract significantly increases the risk of unavoidable service loss.

Please contact your Verizon Program Management representative if you have any questions regarding this notice, your inventory, or your transition timeline.
