Elevating innovators
We look for educators who are leveraging technology to innovate in the classroom and give them the resources to amplify their ability to reach even more educators.

Pierre-Carly LaFaille
Director of Technology at William Hawley Atwell Law Academy
By securing $1 million in monetary donations and licenses, LaFaille enabled her entire 230-school district to access interactive learning resources like Discovery Education for free, helping her school improve from an F grade in 2018 local district assessments to a B grade today, an achievement that LaFaille believes was possible because of Verizon Innovative Learning.

Jose Gonzalez
21st Century Learning Specialist, Dr. Ralph Bunche Middle School
Collaborating remotely and in person using Verizon resources, Gonzalez recently guided his STEM students through the process of creating sustainable building materials from fungi. The mycelium brick project was typical of Gonzalez’ hands-on approach to mentoring – and leveraging technology. He recently received the STEM Engagement award from Verizon.
