These holograms were created using a volumetric video stage, which captures the performer’s image from 106 cameras at once. The data captured by these cameras is then pieced together to form a seamless, photorealistic 3d asset of the subject that can be viewed in AR from every angle. The studio then deconstructed the interview into isolated clips that they then wove into an interactive branching narrative. The viewer ventures through the story by selecting which question they want to ask, depending on their unique interest. The narrative structure is implemented into the application via the cross-platform game engineering platform, Unity, along with the volumetric video assets. The resulting experience can either be viewed through a Hololens 2, tablet or a mobile device.

Career Day is recommended for users age 13 and older.

Career Day runs on iOS devices and the Microsoft HoloLens 2. iOS devices running version 13 or later are recommended. Headphones, wireless or wired, as determined by the device.
