Career Day

These holograms were created using a volumetric video stage, which captures the performer’s image from 106 cameras at once. The data captured by these cameras is then pieced together to form a seamless, photorealistic 3d asset of the subject that can be viewed in AR from every angle. The studio then deconstructed the interview into isolated clips that they then wove into an interactive branching narrative. The viewer ventures through the story by selecting which question they want to ask, depending on their unique interest. The narrative structure is implemented into the application via the cross-platform game engineering platform, Unity, along with the volumetric video assets. The resulting experience can either be viewed through a Hololens 2, tablet or a mobile device.


How were the holograms created?

Career Day is recommended for users age 13 and older.


What age group would best benefit from using Career Day?


	Career Day runs on iOS devices and the Microsoft HoloLens 2. iOS devices running version 13 or later are recommended.
	Headphones, wireless or wired, as determined by the device.

Download Career Day from the Apple App Store and provide your educational login credentials.

This unique interview experience will open your students’ minds to what’s possible, and potentially inspire them to pursue a career they once thought out of reach!

Give your students access to this app by sharing a class access code. To best organize your codes, we suggest creating one access code per class, and using labels to help you keep track of the codes. Multiple students can use each class code.

Generating a new code will automatically disable the current educator access code.

By deactivating this class code, students using this code will lose access to the app.  As an educator, you will still have access to the app with your educator code.

By disabling the educator code, you may lose access to this app. To regain access, you will need to create a new educator code.

Use your educator access code to log into VIL Apps along with the email associated with your VIL account. Each educator has their own unique educator access code for each app.  Do not share the educator code with students.
