One headset, two controllers, and two base stations. The base stations act as a lighthouse, emitting a laser that connects to the headset. The experience is designed for all kinds of PC virtual reality devices, including but not limited to the HTC Vive family of devices, Oculus Rift family, Valve Index, and all Windows Mixed Reality devices.

What does each VR set-up consist of?

This application is developed for PC VR devices such as HTC Vive, Valve Index, Windows Mixed Reality devices, and others.&nbsp;Your headset should be accompanied by installation instructions. Please follow those instructions before installing the VR experience.&nbsp;Also, please ensure that the operating software on all the virtual reality devices is up-to-date.

Which VR equipment I can use?

Before setting up, ensure that the IT group at your school has given you and your lab computers all permissions to allow for smooth downloading experience.

How do I avoid potential firewall difficulties?

Should there be an account for every computer?

No, the VR needs to be active and a minilab needs to be created for the AR to be used.

Can the AR accompanying application be used on its own?

You need activation keys only for virtual reality applications, which you can generate using your account at <a href="https://app.abelanavr.com/" rel=" noopener" target="_blank">https://app.abelanavr.com/</a>.

Do I need activation keys for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications?

No, you need a separate key for each individual PC-connected VR station.

Can I use the same activation key for multiple virtual reality stations?

Yes, each QR image leads into a separate mini-lab that is created using VR beforehand. Select the "School" option in the AR application if you log from the same physical location; select the "Home" option if you log from different locations

Can multiple people log into the AR application using the same QR image?

The teacher will be present in the VR experience so as they would in a physical classroom, they can float and observe students to guide them through the experience, keep them engaged, and control the interactions. Besides that, the teacher can control the class via a mobile app using a special Teacher Mode, as well as broadcast the whole experience to a public screen using the Cameraman entry into the VR experience.

How do I ensure that classroom management continues within the application in terms of student interaction?

Yes, for this you can use one of two scenarios: either share your headset view via Zoom or a similar video chat application, or use the Cameraman entry into the VR experience. The Cameraman entry allows showing the experience from a 3rd person perspective and does not require VR equipment attached to your PC . The Cameraman launch file is located in the main experience folder, and its icon is generated during the installation process. Please note, the Cameraman option does not allow you to interact with the experience, and it is designed only as a video broadcasting tool. A teacher will need another VR station to join the VR experience as an avatar.

Send your students to outer space with Visceral Science, a virtual reality experience using the formation of stars and planets to immerse them in the scientific concepts of force and motion, energy conservation, and thermonuclear reactions. Working in teams, your students will learn essential astronomy and physics lessons in a fully immersive environment, sparking more curiosity and engagement than through traditional instruction.&nbsp;UPD 1. The experience now includes a mobile companion app. You can join the virtual lesson as a drone controlled by your mobile device and work together with your teammates in a virtual environment.UPD 2. Visceral Science is natively integrated with BlueJeans video conferencing tool that allows teachers to conduct remote classes directly from the virtual galaxy.

Give your students access to this app by sharing a class access code. To best organize your codes, we suggest creating one access code per class, and using labels to help you keep track of the codes. Multiple students can use each class code.

Create new educator code

Generating a new code will automatically disable the current educator access code.

By deactivating this class code, students using this code will lose access to the app.  As an educator, you will still have access to the app with your educator code.

By disabling the educator code, you may lose access to this app. To regain access, you will need to create a new educator code.

Use your educator access code to log into VIL Apps along with the email associated with your VIL account. Each educator has their own unique educator access code for each app.  Do not share the educator code with students.

Verizon Innovative Learning HQ

Share codes with other educators to allow them to access the app and view student access codes. The codes will be sent to the email recipients, but only you can edit these codes. You can share this code with educators who are not registered on this site.
