In this lesson, students will learn what the term “ethics” means, and then apply it to the growing field of artificial intelligence. First, students will evaluate a series of scenarios and consider the ethical dilemmas presented in each. Then, after watching two videos on the topic of artificial intelligence (the AlterEgo technology) and reading an article, students will create a persuasive presentation answering this question: “What rules should we create to make sure artificial intelligence continues to expand in an ethical manner?”

AI Ethics (Lesson 1 of 2): Conflicting Viewpoints

Give your students access to this app by sharing a class access code. To best organize your codes, we suggest creating one access code per class, and using labels to help you keep track of the codes. Multiple students can use each class code.

Create new educator code

Generating a new code will automatically disable the current educator access code.

By deactivating this class code, students using this code will lose access to the app.  As an educator, you will still have access to the app with your educator code.

By disabling the educator code, you may lose access to this app. To regain access, you will need to create a new educator code.

Use your educator access code to log into VIL Apps along with the email associated with your VIL account. Each educator has their own unique educator access code for each app.  Do not share the educator code with students.
