Disappointed

I am pretty much a Motorola fan and have had a few over the past 20 years. This phone is not up to par with my previous Motorola phones. I purchased this phone as an upgrade to the Moto Z4. The battery is great. Unfortunately, the phone drops calls, doesn't always ring when calls comes in, the volume wants to change so that I just use the speaker all the time to hear and I don't have a hearing issue, doesn't always connect when dialing and, at times, states I have no service and I have to reboot to get service. I have been living in the same location for 12 years and have not had poor experience with previous phones with calls (other than a brief time with an Apple work phone). Picture/video taking is not a priority but call quality is as I work from home. I have had several people state they can't hear or understand what I am saying so I have to move around. It is an unlocked phone and not sure if that makes any difference. I like the way Motorola sets up their phone and am used to a much better experience from them.

I got this phone in July, because my other phone was done. It was time to retire it. I got this phone, because they said the quality was good and it was more reliable. I did not do my research, and got this phone. The positive is that the battery lasts for a few days, and I am on my phone a lot. The downside to this phone is the camera is not the greatest. It freezes at random and then wants to take a few pictures after the moment has passed. And I have four children. Asking them to stop and wait for my camera to take a picture is a bit ridiculous. The phone also likes to drop calls, not connect to the network. Even on a good day, when there is not a cloud in the sky. It will not connect. If I go to my car in the driveway it will not connect. The only time it wants to connect is when I am at home. The money spent on this phone is honestly a waste..do your research before buying a phone. Lesson learned.

Not a bad phone

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Slow processing speed. Weird unlock screen. Should be swipe up like my moto Z3, but that doesn't always work. Happy with the screen size. Happy I can add a micro SD card. Battery life seems good. Quick charge. Took me a bit to figure out that the black dot on my screen was not a notification but the front facing lense. Sound is okay. Haven't done much with the camera yet but so for so good.

Screen cracked right out of the box. Charger port down in 1 week. Hand feel is too long and length of phone doesn't fit in pockets. Sound a major fall off from older version.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

It took some time for me to get used to trusting that my battery was not going to run out. I was used to charging my phone multiple times per day, but with the Moto G Power, it is rarely below 60 percent after a full day of use.

Absolute worst phone I've ever had.

1 out of 5 rating

atinsley · 14 days ago

In my 20+ years of using cell phones, I have had several different brands, including a couple Motorolas. This phone has to be the absolute worst phone I have ever had, outside the iPhone that I had for a brief time. It has the worst reception of any of my past smart phones. The front camera is horrible. Neither the front, nor the back cameras, are worth a dime at night. The fact that it has no return/back button, is VERY irritating. The swipe feature to return to previous pages only works correctly a small percentage of the time. Also, the fact that to turn the ring volume up and down, you have to hit the volume button, then navigate to the volume settings page to pick ring volume, is ridiculous. When you hit the volume button, unless you have a media app open, the ring volume should automatically get turned down. I definitely would NOT recommend this phone for anyone.

We bought it @ 1 month ago- the negatives are it turns the sound down by itself, it turns on "Do Not Disturb" by itself thus I miss calls, I have set up my fingerprint to get in and it is great when it works. It works only a small percentage of the time. I have set it up at least three (3) times. I do not know about the battery yet-too soon to tell. So far, it is good.
