Trial Offer Duration and Terms
You may have access to the Family Money Service when you download and meet the requirements of the Family Money app; meet the Offer Eligibility criteria; and agree to and comply with the terms of the (i) Family Money Terms of Service and (ii) Family Money Prepaid Card Account and Visa® Cardholder Agreement (“MCB Cardholder Agreement”).
The Trial Offer is:
- for an initial thirty (30) day trial period (“Trial Period”);
- for up to two kids (at least 8 years old), with each child receiving a Family Money prepaid debit card (“Prepaid Card”) upon trial activation;
- no Monthly Fee during the Trial Period. The $3.99 Monthly Fee will start immediately after Trial Period ends and automatically renew until canceled (See below under Cancellation).
Other fees may apply including for expedited shipping and replacement Prepaid Cards (see the MCB Cardholder Agreement for the bank fee schedule). Please check with your financial institution to determine if it charges any fees in connection with processing of your Family Money related transactions (e.g., any fee for withdrawals, deposits, returns, declines, or transfers).
This Trial Offer is available while supplies last. Verizon reserves the right to modify or terminate this Trial Offer at any time and for any reason. After such time, Verizon shall not be obliged to accept redemptions or any further attempts to access the Trial Offer.
Trial Offer Activation
To sign-up for Family Money and activate the Trial Offer, you must link a Funding Account and authorize use of the account with the Family Money Service. You will be required to share external bank account information with our vendor for bank linking (Plaid, Inc.), who will verify your authority and/or access to the Funding Account. The Trial Offer is activated only after you agree to the Family Money Auto-Renew and Payment Authorization Terms and these Terms, and upon Verizon confirming that you have successfully verified and linked your Funding Account. To view the status of your Trial Offer you can go to your Family Money app Account Settings.
After Trial Offer Period Ends – Paid Service
At the end of the Trial Period, you will automatically be debited the $3.99 U.S. Monthly Fee, plus any other applicable charges. Payment will be deducted from your Family Money Wallet or default linked Funding Account. Your Monthly Fee will automatically renew every 30 days (from your plan start date) unless and until you cancel (See below under Cancellation).
To avoid being charged the Monthly Fee after the Trial Period ends, you must cancel Family Money prior to the end of the Trial Period. You can cancel the Trial Offer at any time through the Family Money app. To cancel, go to the app Account Settings - Manage My Account - My Plan - Cancel Trial. You may also cancel by calling Family Money Account Services at 1-844-936-6639. Cancellation is effective upon submitting a request before the Trial Period ends.
If you cancel during the Trial Period you will be able to use the Service for the remainder of the Trial Period. Canceling stops the recurring Monthly Fee deduction, but does not refund any other Family Money fees (e.g., replacement card or expedited shipping fees) or charges of your linked bank account paid through the date of cancellation, if any.
If you cancel, for any positive Prepaid Card balance(s), you have the option of requesting a refund for any funds remaining on the Prepaid Card account(s) (less any applicable charges or fees) or your kids can continue to use their Prepaid Cards until the funds run out, to the end of the Trial Period. You will be able to access the Family Money Prepaid Card transaction history on the Family Money app for sixty (60) days from the effective date of cancellation.
Your termination of the Family Money Trial Offer will not affect any of our rights or your obligations arising under Family Money before termination. Any remaining balance in the Family Money Account, minus any fees or negative account balances, will be refunded to the Accountholder via check after the final billing date. Any check we send will be sent by U.S. Mail to the address on file in our records.
