Trading in your old phone?

Remove your Google account from your old phone before getting started.

Step 1 Turn off your old phone

Hold the Power button until the Motorola logo appears, then release and wait for the "Hi there" screen to appear.

Step 3 Welcome

From the "Hi there" screen, select the appropriate language, then tap Start.

From the “Phone activation” screen, tap Next. Allow a few minutes for activation to complete. If prompted, from the “Verify Your Account” screen, enter your Verizon Account PIN. Follow the onscreen prompts, then tap Next. If you forgot it, reset or create your Account PIN.

From the "Connect to Wi-Fi" screen, select a network then enter the password.

If you'd like to restore your info from an old device, tap Next. If you'd like a fresh start, tap Don't copy.

Sign in to your existing Google account or create a new one.

From the “Google services” screen, tap any of the switches to turn on or off, then tap Accept. This may require scrolling to the bottom.

From the "Set screen lock" screen, enter a lock code, then tap Next. Tap Screen lock options if you want to set up a different lock method.

10 Set up Verizon ServicesStep 10 Set up Verizon Services

From the "Verizon Services" screen, tap any of the switches to turn on or off, then tap Accept.

11 Set up Verizon CloudStep 11 Set up Verizon Cloud

From the Verizon Cloud screen, tap Next.

12 Set up Digital SecureStep 12 Set up Digital Secure

From the "Digital Secure" screen, tap the switch to turn on or off, then tap Accept.

13 Review Motorola privacy noticeStep 13 Review Motorola privacy notice

From the “About your privacy” screen, tap More to review additional info on screen. Tap either of the switches to turn on or off. If desired, enter your email address to receive emails from Motorola, then tap Accept and continue.

From the "Ready to go!" screen, tap Got it to complete setup.
