Relevant Online Advertising Program
What is Relevant Online Advertising?
Our Relevant Online Advertising program helps make ads you see online more interesting and useful and helps advertisers understand the effectiveness of their ad campaigns.
What information do you use?
We use your postal address, information about how you use Verizon products and services (such as service packages, Fios TV purchases and viewership categories such as the types of programming you watch), and demographic and interest information you provide or we obtain from other companies (such as gender, age range, sports fan, frequent diner, or pet owner). We may also use information that advertisers or advertising partners provide. We don’t share information that identifies you personally with advertisers as part of this program.
For example, this program could help a local restaurant advertise only to people who live within 10 miles and tend to be frequent diners, without sharing information that identifies you personally.
Does the program use my Web activity or precise location?
No, the Relevant Online Advertising program does not use information about non-Verizon websites you visit or your precise location. Your postal address is used.
Is any of my personal information shared?
We do not share information that identifies you personally as part of this program other than with vendors and partners who work for us. We require that these vendors and partners protect the information and use it only for the services they are providing us.
How will I see Relevant Online Advertising?
You’ll see ads on the websites you visit in the same way you see them today; however, some of the ads may be more relevant to you.
Do I have a choice about participating in the Relevant Online Advertising program?
Yes, you can choose not to participate any time by visiting your account online. You will need your account login information.
You will receive ads regardless of whether you participate. Some of the ads you see online may be more relevant to you if you are in the program.
