Dear Valued Verizon Customer,

At Verizon, we are committed to keeping you up to date on changes that affect your services. That’s why we are writing to let you know that as of October 12, 2014, we are updating our Email Policy to reduce the number of emails that can be sent in a 24 hour period.

These rules are in place to help fight spam (i.e., unsolicited Email) and apply to each sub-account separately. Here is some important information regarding this new policy:

  • The updated policy limits the number of emails that can be sent from your email address to 1,000 emails within a 24 hour period
  • If the sending cap is exceeded, you will be notified via email of the violation and your ability to send email will be suspended for 24 hours
  • If your ability to send email is suspended, you will still be able to receive emails during the 24 hour time period; all other services will remain active on your account
  • After the 24 hour suspension, your ability to send email will be automatically restored
  • The existing email sending limits below will also continue to apply:
    • 500 emails per hour
    • 100 emails addresses per message

We value you as a customer and look forward to continuing to serve you.

Sincerely,

Your Verizon Team

At Verizon, we strive to keep you informed of changes that may affect your Verizon experience. That’s why we wanted to make you aware of changes we will be making to the Verizon Online Terms of Service, such changes to be effective November 17, 2013. These changes will include modifications to Sections 2.4, 6.4, 7.1, 9.2, 10.3, 11.1, 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, and 14 to account for the way certain equipment is provided to you, including the router required for your service to function, and customer-owned equipment that is purchased from either Verizon or a third-party. Sections 2.5 and 7.1 will be modified to clarify, among other things, that Verizon may deliver messages to your computer as part of the service. Also, Section 8 will be modified to address Verizon’s right to assess a collection fee in an amount as allowed by law, not to exceed 18% of the account balance, in the event a customer’s account has an unpaid balance and is referred to a third party collection agency. The fee will be assessed at the time the account is referred to the collection agency.
