  1. In the Logon Information area, enter your user name and password in the corresponding fields.

  2. Check the Remember password check box and click More Settings.

  3. Note: Please check with your email service provider for additional settings and configurations required by your account.

  4. From the Outgoing Server tab, select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

  5. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail and click OK.

    Tip: Click Test Account Settings to verify that you have configured your email settings correctly.

  6. Select Next, then Finish.
Note: If you select HTTP as your incoming mail server type, an HTTP Service Provider menu appears. Select your provider from the HTTP Service Provider menu. If Other is selected you must enter the URL to mail server in the Incoming Mail Server field.

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. From the Tools menu, select Email Accounts.

  3. Select Add a new email account, then click Next.

  4. Select a server type:

    • Microsoft Exchange Server - Post Office Protocol version 3

    • POP3 - Post Office Protocol version 3

    • IMAP - Internet Message Access Protocol

    • HTTP - HyperText Transfer Protocol

    • Additional Server Types - Post Office Protocol version 3

    Note: Please refer to the Outlook 2002 Online Help or the Microsoft Outlook Knowledge Base at if configuring a Microsoft Exchange Server or Additional Server Types.

  5. In the User Information area, enter your name and email address in the corresponding fields.

  6. If you selected POP3 or IMAP as your incoming mail server type, enter your ISP's incoming and outgoing mail server settings in the corresponding Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server fields.
